Lazy Bear Lodge started as a weekend project — a two-bedroom cabin our family built on a piece of land we fell in love with back in 2008. What began as a place for our own gatherings slowly became something more: a destination for travelers who wanted the same thing we did.
Someone who didn't want a cookie-cutter hotel room. Someone who wanted to wake up to birds instead of an alarm clock, to sit on a porch with a cup of coffee and watch the fog roll through the pines, and to know the people who run the place by name.
That's still what we offer today. Four cabins, a handful of rooms, and a genuine commitment to making every guest feel like they've found a quiet corner of the mountains that's theirs for the stay.
